My second day in Istanbul (or I’d better say the first full day) was so exciting: the first stage was Hagia Sophia which, in the different centuries, turned from church to mosque and then to museum which left us speechless. We then went to the Basilica Cistern, unique and from the VI century.
After a typical meal we visited the Blue Mosque, shopped a bit at Grand Bazaar, had dinner with the classic kebap at Hamdi in the Bazaar area with a Golden Horn view and then we relaxed smoking narghilè on a terrace in Ortakoy area. This place is so sensational!
Il mio secondo giorno a Istanbul (o forse sarebbe meglio dire il primo giorno completo) è stato pieno ed emozionante: la prima tappa è stata Hagia Sophia che nel corso dei secoli è passata da basilica a moschea ed infine a museo e che ci ha lasciati tutti a bocca aperta per la sua maestosità. Subito dopo è stato il turno della cisterna basilica, unica nel suo genere e risalente al VI secolo d.C.
Dopo un pranzo tipico abbiamo poi visitato la Moschea Blu, fatto un po’ di shopping al Grand Bazaar, cenato con il classico kebap da Hamdi nel quartiere dei Bazaar con vista sul Corno d’Oro e ci siamo rilassati su una terrazza fumando narghilè nella zona di Ortakoy. Questo posto mi fa impazzire!
