Rolls Royce experience in Cote D’Azur

Since I opened this blog I’ve had the chance to live unforgettable experiences, that would have probably never happened to me if, that 12th October 2009, I didn’t decide It was the right time to have my personal online space. The day we spent yesterday in Cote D’Azur with Rolls Royce was one of those.
Everything started with an email some weeks ago, in which Richi and I were invited to live a Rolls Royce day in Cote D’Azur. I was excited at the idea, and Richi, true car lover, couldn’t wait to leave.
Yesterday we arrived at Nice airport, where a Rolls Royce driver was waiting to bring us to Cap Estel, such a beautiful resort located in such an amazing place.
After an introduction to the Phantom Series II (Rolls Royce top car) from Nigel (Product Communication Manager), the driver drove us to a tour on the coast, in which we could experience RR philosophy and luxury. The most appealing thing? It seemed we were more on a yacht than on a car, amazing.
Back to Cap Estel we met some of the craftspeople who work on the cars (there are no automatic mechanism in the production line, they’re 100% handmade) that let us understand the importance of customization, one of the keys of success of modern luxury.
The cherry on top was the lunch with Rolls CEO, Torsten Muller-Otvos, who communicated us the passion of RR “family” even more.

Da quando ho aperto questo blog ho avuto la possibilità di vivere esperienze indimenticabili, che probabilmente mai mi sarebbero capitate se, quel 12 Ottobre 2009 non avessi deciso che fosse era il momento di avere uno spazio personale online. La giornata di ieri in Costa Azzurra con Rolls Royce è stata proprio una di queste.
Tutto è cominciato con un’email qualche settimana fa, in cui io e Richi venivamo invitati a vivere una giornata all’insegna di Rolls Royce in Costa Azzurra. Già io ero entusiasta all’idea, immaginate la gioia di Richi che, da appassionato sfegatato di auto, non stava più nella pelle.
Ieri siamo quindi arrivati all’aeroporto di Nizza, dove un driver Rolls Royce ci aspettava per portarci a Cap Estel, un resort eccezionale situato in una delle location davvero unica.
Dopo un’introduzione alla Phantom Serie II (la nuova ammiraglia Rolls) da parte di Nigel (il Product Communication Manager), il driver ci ha accompagnati in un tour sulla costa dalle vedute mozzafiato, in cui abbiamo potuto vivere al 100% la filosofia ed il lusso RR . La cosa che più mi ha colpito? Più che in auto sembrava di essere a bordo di uno yacht, pazzesco!
Tornati a Cap Estel abbiamo conosciuto alcuni degli artigiani che lavorano sulle auto (non esistono meccanismi automatizzati nella catena di montaggio, sono fatte 100% a mano) che ci hanno fatto capire l’importanza della personalizzazione, una delle chiavi del successo del lusso moderno.
La ciliegina sulla torta é stata il pranzo con l’AD di Rolls, Torsten Muller-Otvos che ci ha trasmesso ancora di più la passione della “famiglia” RR.
