I look at my Louis Vuitton Speedy bag monogram 30 at my arm and I smile: who would have thought that bag (my Speedy) would have been the main character of a photoshoot of the maison in Paris?
This all happened last week in Paris: three different photoshoots, three different locations and three different inspiration moods.
This is the first one of the three photoshoots, shot by Peppe Tortora at Jardin Des Tuileries with Veronica and Alessandra: with a clear vintage inspiration from the 60′s, when Speedy bag (born in 1930) started the trend of “carry all bag”, becoming the ideal city bag to take the essentials around. These are the years in which Audrey Hepburn asks Henri-Louis Vuitton to create for her a smaller version compared to the 30 (the size of my Speedy bag) and this way Speedy 25 was created.
The iconic Speedy bag was born this way, and during the years it was renewed, keeping her classic allure, inspiring artists like Yayoi kusama, Takashi Murakami, Stephen Sprouse e Richard Prince.
Speedy Monogram 30 was the first designer bag I bought myself with my own money when I was nineteen: “she” was with me in the first dates with Richi, with me during our first trip to Paris together in 2007, with me when I moved in my flat in Milan, with me when I discovered I was admitted to Bocconi university. It was the bag I used the most, loved the most and adored the most. A travel and life companion.
I look at “her” at my arm when these photos are being shot, and I think how lucky my Speedy bag was to be chosen among different models to be the main character of this photoshoot. Then I look around me in this sunny day in Paris and I realize how lucky I am, to be able to live this dream with eyes wide open.
Guardo la mia Speedy bag monogram 30 di Louis Vuitton al braccio e sorrido: chi avrebbe mai pensato che quella borsa (proprio la mia) sarebbe stata la protagonista di un servizio fotografico della maison a Parigi?
Tutto è successo la scorsa settimana nella capitale francese: tre servizi fotografici, tre location e tre mood d’ispirazione diversi.
Questo è il primo dei tre photoshoot, scattato ai Jardin Des Tuileries da Peppe Tortora insieme a Veronica ed Alessandra: di chiara ispirazione vintage, prende spunto dagli anni ’60, quando Speedy (nata nel 1930) inaugura il trend delle “carry all bag” diventando la borsa da città ideale per portare con sè l’essenziale di ogni giorno. Sono questi gli anni in cui Audrey Hepburn chiese a Henri-Louis Vuitton di creare per lei una versione ridotta rispetto alla 30 (la misura della mia Speedy bag) e grazie alla quale fu creata Speedy 25.
Nacque cosi l’iconica Speedy bag, tuttora protagonista delle collezioni della Maison, che durante gli anni si è rinnovata pur preservando la sua classica allure, ispirando artisti contemporanei come Yayoi kusama, Takashi Murakami, Stephen Sprouse e Richard Prince.
La Speedy Monogram 30 è stata la mia prima borsa di designer comprata con i miei risparmi quando avevo diciannove anni: era con me durante i primi appuntamenti con Richi, con me durante il primo viaggio insieme a Parigi nel 2007, con me quando mi sono trasferita nel mio storico appartamento di Milano, con me quando ho scoperto di aver passato il test d’ammissione alla Bocconi. E’ stata la borsa che più ho usato e sfruttato, amato ed adorato. Una compagna di viaggio e di vita.
La guardo al mio braccio mentre queste foto vengono scattate, penso a quanto la mia Speedy sia “fortunata” ad essere la protagonista, tra centinaia di modelli, di questo servizio fotografico. Poi mi guardo attorno in una Parigi assolata e penso a quanto sia io ad essere fortunata, a vivere un sogno ad occhi aperti come questo.

Mi piace l’idea di favi posare cone “proprie” borse: è prorpio vero che la borsa racconta la staoria della donna che lapossiede!
Buonasera Chiara, mi permetto di domandarle, quanto è difficile abbinare collant, calze, parigine, gambaletti e ogni altro genere di accessorio per le nostre gambe, visto che in molte sue foto non solo non sono nominati, ma addirittura dichiara di “odiarli” è un vero peccato perché esistono prodotti italiani all’altezza di qualunque altro prodotto internazionale se non addirittura superiore in qualità, manifattura ed eleganza. Sisi, Philippe Matignon, Emilio Cavallini e tanti altri…molti altri. Le suggerisco senza presunzione, di visitare anche i negozi dedicati a questi prodotti, di provarne alcuni, una fra tante la Lycra 3D Tecnica di lavorazione recente che consiste nell’incorporare l’elastam su tutti i ranghi. Tutti i punti maglia sono fatti cioè con lo stesso filato. Il risultato è un collant con un’ottima elasticità verticale ed orizzontale. Il prodotto così realizzato è particolarmente confortevole e le caratteristiche di vestibilità, uniformità della maglia e resistenza alle smagliature sono potenziate. E’ il caso dei collant coprenti in microfibra dalle denarature pesanti….Insomma non voglio essere presuntuosa ne mancarle di rispetto, mi piace molto quello che fa e continuerò ad osservare le sue “news” ma almeno d’inverno copriamo le gambe…..le calze sono bellissime….per chi le sa indossare e per chi sa osare!, c’è un mondo aldilà del “nero”.
