Spring Summer 2016 Hair Trends and How To Replicate Them

cover-tendenze-capelliNo to super elaborated hairdos, yes to the ‘just rolled out of bed’ effect. The hair trends for the Spring Summer 2016 are all about a very natural woman, almost messy, with hair quickly pulled up or tightly pulled back, minimal and compact. We asked Angelo Seminara, Davines Creative Director, what are the 3 coolest trends for the summer and how to replicate them at home.

Grunge. Hair is messy almost sticking, as you just got out without combing it. In order to get this effect with clean hair you need to apply a primer right before drying it and once they’re dry, work through the length with your fingers after having applied products that gives thickness, as sea salt spray or a specific product for this effect as Davines Your Hair Assistant Volume Creator.

Natural. The effect is neater but still spontaneous, perfect for the summer. The secret here is the method used to wash and dry the hair. First, wash the hair with a delicate shampoo then apply a conditioner that nourishes without weighing down the hair. Then dry it with the hairdryer helping yourself with your fingers, leaving the hair free and unruly. Lastly apply a finishing product that gives some volume to the hair, like Davines Your Hair Assistant Definition Mist.

Minimal. If you prefer a neater look, tying  your hair in a ponytail or a tight chignon is the super cool alternative for the season. For such a graphic look, the best result is obtained with hair that hasn’t been just washed, so that they’ll easily stay in their place. After your hair is done, the secret will be fixing everything with a hairspray like Davines Your Hair Assistant Perfecting Hairspray and add light with a lighting spray, like Davines More Inside Shimmering Mist.
