Subcultures, continents of ancient traditions, timeless style codes: season after season fashion finds inspiration in different universes to define the collections that will win us over. Being able to identify and interpret them is the key to making them personal and therefore always different. We have chosen 3 of the strongest trends from Pre-Fall 2016. We wear them like this, and you?
New Goth. Vinyl and leather, studs, mesh: the image of this subculture has been re-worked for the Pre-Fall 2016 collection in a sophisticated way thus associating distinctly dark elements, details and materials bringing in contrasts from other worlds. The trick therefore is to mix: a silk blouse with a studded choker, a leather dress with Beatles-style boots. Don’t fall into the trap of clichés, but add a truly strong touch to each look.
The East. Oriental culture has long been a big inspiration for designers from all over the world. Pre-Fall 2016 is no exception: from the kimono to the sashes that remind you of the obi belt taken from the traditional dress. To incorporate this trend in your wardrobe focus on contemporary materials like leather, or go for unusual matches: for exemple pull together a kimono-sized long jacket with a turtleneck sweater.
The Navy. This trend is a bit of a classic that keeps coming back, and will be really strong during Winter 2016. The coolest addition is that which plays once again with contrasts: what is more beautiful than wearing a romantic and floaty dress, and enveloping yourself in an oversized coat decorated with golden insignia? Marines, we’re ready to sail towards new horizons!
