Do you remember about my four days spent in Seoul at the beginning of September for Fay, right before New York fashionweek?
After the fashionweek chaos I realized I never published this look, that I particularly liked. Now It’s your turn to say If you like it or not!

  • Having lived there a good part of my life (in the Yeouido financial district), I felt that the Clover Canyon top blended in perfectly with Seoul’s metro ambience that many stylistas have come to embrace. Hope you’ll get to travel to Busan too — it has a more cosmopolitan feel and will sure become the next fashion-must destination. Some of our picts were from the time of the International Film Festival. Enjoy. http://charmpatrol.blogspot.com/search?q=Busan

Of course, what matters is that you liked what you were wearing. But since you asked…Cropped tops look best in a city environment when there is a sliver of skin exposed and when their braveness is contrasted with something like a knee-length pencil skirt or full trousers. Otherwise it tends to look too sporty–like you’re wearing a sports bra with running shorts. Had you substituted some fllowy pants for the shorts with some strappy heels, this look would have been quite sophisticated, paired with the vest. As a world traveler, it is important that you are aware of cultural differences–what is fine in Milan or New York may be inappropriate in more conservative places, like Dubai and Korea.

Seoul (English pronunciation: /soʊl/; Korean: [sə.ul] ( listen)), officially the Seoul Special City, is the capital and largest metropolis of South Korea. A megacity with a population of more than 10 million, it is the largest city proper in the developed world.[5] The Seoul Capital Area, which includes the surrounding Incheon metropolis and Gyeonggi province, is the world’s second largest metropolitan area with over 25.6 million people,[6] home to over half of South Koreans along with 632,000 international residents.[7]

Situated on the Han River, Seoul’s history stretches back more than 2,000 years when it was founded in 18 BC by Baekje, one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea. It continued as the capital of Korea under the Joseon Dynasty and the Korean Empire. The Seoul metropolitan area contains four UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Changdeok Palace, Hwaseong Fortress, Jongmyo Shrine and the Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty.[
