Some accessories are born to become icons, like my Louis Vuitton Neverfull Damier Ebene that has been my loyal companion in my trips and adventures all over the world.
“Her traveller destiny” was already written: I saw “her” for the first time in the windows of the 5th avenue Louis Vuitton store in one of my first trips to New York, I admired it and thought about reasons to avoid trying it on. Of course I didnt find any of them: five minutes later I looked at ourselves together in the mirror for the first time, and I understood that some relationships really start with love at first sight.
In these four years together she’s has been everywhere with me: from Thailand to Los Angeles, from Brazil to Tokyo, never tired and always ready to make me feel chic in a second, even after twelve hours of flying.
And here “she” is again with me, in a new Louis Vuitton adventure (do you remember about my Speedy adventures?): this time my Neverfull Damier Ebene poses with me in front of the camera in the iconic Forte Dei Marmi.
The photos are shot at Hotel Augustus, hystorical location which became popular in the 50s and 60s, years that inspired this photoshoot.
My Neverfull also managed to do this: “she” stopped the time and made me feel like a pinup from the 50s.
It’s all written in “her” name: she’s never full and always ready for new surprises.

  • This is literally my dream bag…I’m obsessed with oversized tote bags that are big enough to double as a carry on for all my (future) jet setting haha. You look so fab!

  • What an amazing post Chiara! I love the writing and how you shared your adventures with your readers. It’s true, sometimes classic pieces become companions, accompanying us on our travels, creating memories. My favourite travel bag is my Longchamp le pliage, but I’m dying for a Neverfull in the black and white stripes! Hope you keep writing more posts like this, it’s great to see good writing with beautiful pictures.

Beautiful setting for these photos. I bought my Neverfull Damier at Bon Marche last summer and have brought it back to Paris this summer. I like the styling for many of the photos but I must say, you’re not a bikini model. Your torso is too long and too many visible ribs, your small bosom looks best in strapless bandeau style tops with ruffles to create an illusion of a bosom. Plus in that first photo, your missing an arm and your legs look amputated. The blue and white dresses look best on you, and the poses seem more natural. Sorry, but that last shot with the bicycle is very awkward– your leg is straddling the bag, your expression is strained. All in all, this is a good shoot, you just need more careful photo editing.

  • You are too skiny for a pin up girl.. but the pictures are good. 🙂
I just wanted to say that I prefer the older posts, in which you show what you wearing in your real life.. I’m kind of bored with all these editorials.. just saying..
I’m even happy that you are traveling again and maybe we will see more actual outfit posts

The pin-up look doesn’t go with you. You are too thing and your regard is too agressive.

  • Such an incredible adventure. The pictures really scream out vintage and 50’s, and I love them!

  • I love this bag too, it’s a classic and that’s true you can put all your things in it – and like every girl I put my whole house in my handbag ;p – and it’s never full 😉
But I don’t really like the pics, they’re of course well done – lights, location, make-up,… – but they’re kind of cold, personally I can’t see any feeling in these photos. It’s a bit a pity. 🙁
