ON TBS BUCKET LIST: THE COLOURFUL LANDSCAPES OF CINQUE TERRE

Saying that Italy is one of the fav summer travel destinations by tourists from all over the world, is something well established; what just the insiders know is that there many little and super cute villages to discover. Today TBS brings you to discover Cinque Terre and its romantic places where to fully experience the Italian summer zest.

But which are the places to visit at Cinque Terre? In a spectacle made of colourful houses, rocky terraces high above the crystal clear sea, fishermen villages and unforgettable tastings of focaccia, the must-see things are so many! Let’s start from the foundations of geography: Cinque Terre is a stretch of coast of the Ligurian Riviera di Levante, in the province of Spezia, they include: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola e Riomaggiore.

To schedule your trip to Cinque Terre, we suggest you to forget about the car and opt for regional trains that in no time will bring you from one place to another. Unless you want to live a royal holiday and discover Cinque Terre with a boat to experience the best sea panoramas of the region!

Which are the places to visit at Cinque Terre? We suggest you to start from Monterosso, the most western city close to infinite olive and grapevines groves. The old town and its crystal clear waters will give you the perfect Italian postcard. Vernazza is the second stop you can’t miss! Is the most colourful of the Cinque Terre and the richest in history; its alleys go down to the main street, facing the cute square of the town in front of the harbour. Here in front of an amazing landscape, don’t miss the chance to taste the famous focaccia or rice cake by the sea.

Manarola is another unmissable stop and we know you have already seen it in many of your fav travel shots on Instagram! The main street is full of ancient workshops and typical restaurants facing the super colourful fishermen’s boats. What’s about Manarola are its tower-houses overhanging the sea that make up a breath-taking view! We don’t want to spoil you too much about the places to see at the Cinque Terre but pictures speak…Is it already on your summer bucket list too, isn’t it?
