When it comes to\u00a0fashion, I am the\u00a0“I try everything\u201d kind of girl. Wearing\u00a0crazy clothes\u00a0or unusual combinations is spicing up my life. That does not mean that I’d wear anything, of course:\u00a0I do have a personal no-go list. It contains pieces I swore to myself that would never ever end up in my closet and even less on my body. One oft those are \u2013guess what–\u00a0raincoats<\/strong>. Those vinyl\u00a0clothes are as repelling to me as the thought of hairy spiders. Why?<\/p>\n

First of all, they are made to serve a functional cause<\/strong>. How sad! Aren\u2019t clothes supposed to make us look better nowadays? It\u2019s not that we have to survive the whole rainy season in the wilderness, right? So until now, I rather got wet. Or poor (thanks to all the cab fees). Second, raincoats are made of weird materials. Who does\u00a0like the feeling of bulky plastic or creaky rubber on\u00a0skin<\/strong>? Not me, that I know for sure.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, after watching\u00a0the latest catwalk shows, I had to notice\u00a0that\u00a0raincoats, or plastic materials in general, are becoming a big thing in fashion. I spotted\u00a0transparent rain coats at MiuMiu’s, at Annakki’s, Dolce & Gabbana’s, I saw\u00a0transparent plastic skirts<\/strong> at Emporio Armani and Alberta Zambelli, rubber bag covers<\/strong> at Salvatore Ferragamo and\u00a0vinyl tops<\/strong> at Moschino.<\/p>\n

And guess what: I started to rethink my no-go list. Because to be honest, some of\u00a0the vinyl looks actually looked really cool. And not “functional” at all. They actually looked totally fashionable<\/strong>. And since I want to stay the “I try everything” kind of girl in fashion, I did my best to\u00a0give this trend a chance. The result?
