If we say white sand and untouched beaches, what pops into your mind? Probably some Caribbean island, right? No, that’s not where we are! We’re in Jurmala<\/strong>, Latvia, a seaside town not far from Riga, a real paradise for anyone looking for silence and uncontaminated nature. That is the venue of Yincool Fashion Weekend<\/strong>, two days entirely dedicated to exchange, where countries that are geographically and culturally removed, but actually ever closer thanks to fashion, can inspire each other: that is China and Italy. On the runway, in the shade of white tents set up on the beach, five fashion designers from the new wave of their respective countries showcased their work, talent and originality in front of Italian and Chinese journalists and influencers.<\/div>\n

The aim of this event (which was sponsored, among others, by Picanova<\/a>, Design42Day a<\/a>nd\u00a0Sohu<\/a>) was to create a meeting ground for the two countries through a common language \u2013 that of fashion. The collections of the participating designers \u2013 Keta Gutmane<\/strong> and Baiba Ladiga<\/strong> from Latvia, Morfosis<\/strong> from Italy, Cime<\/strong> and Lu Kum<\/strong> from China \u2013 were followed by capsule collections designed by Chinese influencers including Natasha Lau, Dior Beauty spokesperson and the only Asian to be part of the crew of millennials for the Dolce & Gabbana campaign.<\/div>\n
