An actress<\/strong> needs to be able to act using every part of her body \u2013 or only one. Alison Pill<\/strong><\/a> took this direction quite literally and began her career by using one tool to express herself: her voice. The actress, the newest entry to the cast of American Horror Story<\/em> (available from September 5), debuted as the voice of children’s audiobooks when she was just 10, but clearly she was ready to walk the path to a great cinema career.<\/p>\n

And so it was: within 10 years (her first \u201creal\u201d role was in Kung Fu: The Legend Continues<\/em>) she found her place in the Hollywood dream team, achieving more and more success and demonstrating beyond any possible doubt that she is, in fact, a \u201ccomplete\u201d actress. She was born in Toronto on November 27, 1985<\/strong>, and after being cast for her first roles she moved to NYC to seek fortune in the theater world<\/strong>. In 2006, she was awarded a Tony Award for her performance in<\/strong> The Lieutenant of Inishmore<\/strong>. After that, she alternated between theater and cinema and TV series: she was Maggie Jordan in the TV series The Newsroom<\/em>, Zelda Fitzgerald in Midnight in Paris<\/em>, directed by Woody Allen, Maud in the TV series adapted from Ken Follett’s novel The Pillars of the Earth<\/em>, and Anne Kronemberg in Milk<\/em>. Her filmography is long and getting longer: in September, we will see her in the seventh season of American Horror Story<\/em>, where she’ll be a lesbian mother (her partner will be Sarah Paulson).<\/p>\n

In the meantime, her love life did not get overlooked! She’s been married with actor Joshua Leonard since 2015<\/strong>, and they had a baby girl<\/strong> last year. She loves animals and owns a dog named Henry<\/strong>; she’s also heavily involved in social issues and she’s spoken out on environmental issues<\/strong>. Her greatest passion? Reading! Whenever she has some free time, she dives into a novel… or a new script!<\/p>\n\n\t\t
