The fact that is one of the fashion jet set’s favourite stages to show off some of\u00a0 the most eccentric looks ever is nothing new, but this year the Met Gala, <\/strong>to avoid any misunderstanding, promises to be the most whimsical red carpet of the Metropolitan Museum of Art<\/strong>‘s history.<\/p>\n

But what is it about? The Met Gala, also known as Met Ball or Costume Institute Gala<\/strong> is the annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. It marks the opening of the museum’s annual fashion exhibit that will take place in New York <\/strong>until the 8th<\/sup> of September. As you know every year the fashion exhibition has a different theme and just like the landlady <\/em>Anna Wintour<\/strong> announced, the one of this year’s will be Camp: Notes of fashion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Among popess and priests, angels and demons and recalls to the chinese empire we tought we’d seen it all, but instead the theme chosen for this year is already leaving everyone speechless. But first…What does Camp mean? The Camp style <\/strong>brings along with it such a complexity that only defining it looks like an Herculean task, let alone choosing the right outfit! Generally speaking it is a style with a strong kitsh and trash<\/strong> soul, an artistic sublimation of bad taste with touches of irony, theatricality and exaggeration. In other words, everything our fav celebrities can’t wait to show off!<\/p>\n

Let’s be honest: in recent years we’ve already seen a lot of kitsch and theatricality’s recalls, but this year with the approval of designers like Alessandro Michele<\/strong> with Gucci<\/strong> (Co-Host of the event) we may have a little more fun.
