Lindsay Dee Lohan<\/strong>, born in 1986, is an American actress who perfectly embodies the ideal of the enfant prodige. She began working as a model at the age of three and made her acting debut in 1996 in the soap opera Destiny (1964). Shortly afterwards she was chosen by Oscar-nominated writer Nancy Meyers to play the role of twin sisters, the film in question being of course The Parent Trap<\/em> (1998). After other film experiences, Lohan took a few years off from acting, dedicating herself to a music career. Between 2003 and 2005, she would play some career-defining roles, Cady Heron in Mean Girls<\/em>, Maggie Peyton in Herbie: Fully Loaded<\/em> and Anna Coleman in Freaky Friday<\/em> At this time, Lohan was among the most sought-after young actresses in the industry, alternating this with her music career with her first album Speak<\/em>. From this period onwards she would begin her metaphorical descent when she declared her problems with anorexia, alcohol and drug addiction.
