In exactly two days, on 11 December, we celebrate the renowned International Mountain Day<\/strong><\/a>. Taking this opportunity, we decided to introduce you to some of the most popular – obv snowy – tourist destinations.<\/p>\n

Which are the coolest ski locations to visit especially at this time of year? <\/em><\/p>\n

This day was established back in 2003 by the United Nations General Assembly, in order not to forget and celebrate the imposing and eternal wonders of nature: the mountains.<\/p>\n

Italy<\/strong><\/a>, Switzerland<\/strong> and Austria<\/strong><\/a>, as we know – among many other countries around the world – are home to a large number of important peaks. Enchanting ecosystems that have lived for millions of years, often unfortunately put at risk by man.<\/p>\n

What you will do with us will be a real ‘journey’ to discover the most beautiful ski destinations, amidst unique and incomparably beautiful scenery.<\/p>\n

Among the highest mountain ranges in Europe are the Dolomites and the Swiss and French Alps (which border northern Italy). It is here that you can find the most skiable terrain, but above all, you can carve out a fairytale moment to enjoy with your family. Whether it is the famous skiing week or simply a weekend away with sports and good mountain food, it matters little. From Valle d’Aosta to Veneto, passing through Trentino-Alto Adige and the magic of Kitzb\u00fchel.<\/p>\n

Dwelling on sport, winter sports are becoming more and more popular as time goes by. It is no coincidence that we have chosen to show you some of the areas where practising them seems to be the right place.<\/p>\n

Of all the locations, we would undoubtedly highlight Cortina<\/strong><\/a>, in the Ampezzo Valley, a unique place surrounded by a ring of imposing peaks, six of which exceed 3000 metres. Known mainly for luxury tourism, this small town has much to offer those who love the mountains and skiing. Then there is Courmayeur<\/strong>, unique in being the starting point for visiting Mont Blanc, considered the King of the Alps.<\/p>\n
