Today we celebrate Jared Leto<\/a><\/strong> on his birthday. The well-known American singer, actor and artist achieved popularity in the music band Thirty Seconds to Mars<\/em> (founded with his brother in 1998) and for his roles in films such as Requiem for a Dream, Panic Room<\/em> and Dallas Buyers Club<\/em>. Born in Bossier City, Louisiana on 26 December 1971, Jared began his career as an actor during his teenage years, starring in television series such as My So-Called Life<\/em> and Law & Order<\/em>.<\/p>\n

As an actor, Leto landed his first major role in the 2000 film Requiem for a Dream<\/em>, for which he was later nominated for an Independent Spirit Award<\/strong> for Best Actor. In 2013, he instead landed the role of Rayon in Dallas Buyers Club<\/em>, for which he went on to win the Academy Award <\/strong>for Best Supporting Actor in 2014.<\/p>\n
