The 76th Cannes Film Festival will be held May 16-27 at the Palais des Festivals et des Congr\u00e8s, the historic festival venue on the French Riviera.<\/p>\n Who is on the jury of this year’s Cannes Film Festival?<\/p>\n Ruben \u00d6stlund, the Swedish director who has won the Palme d’Or twice, with 2017’s “The Square” and last year’s “Triangle of Sadness,” has been chosen as president of the jury, and he said he is delighted and honored.<\/p>\n What films will be screened at Cannes?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Every year at the Cannes Film Festival, films in competition and those in the Un Certain Regard category, dedicated to emerging filmmakers, will be screened. There will also be out-of-competition premieres, special screenings and many other activities. The festival will open with the world premiere of “Jeanne du Barry,” the historical drama by French director and actress Ma\u00efwenn, at the Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Lumi\u00e8re. In the film, Johnny Depp will play the role of King Louis XV and Ma\u00efwenn will be the ma\u00eetresse-en-titre. In addition, the festival will pay tribute to iconic actor Harrison Ford for his career.
