The 80th Venice Film Festival<\/strong>, just like every year, has awarded its prizes, and Yorgos Lanthimos has claimed the most prestigious prize with his latest work, “Poor Things,” starring actress Emma Stone. That’s right, the renowned Greek director’s latest film, featuring Willem Dafoe and Mark Ruffalo, adapted from the 1992 novel by Alasdair Gray of the same name, follows Emma Stone in the role of Bella Baxter, a creation of a brilliant scientist played by Dafoe. Dedicating the award to his leading lady, Lanthimos declared that “Poor Things” wouldn’t exist “without Emma Stone.”<\/p>\n
