{"id":384080,"date":"2025-08-21T16:37:36","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T16:37:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theblondesalad.com\/?p=384080"},"modified":"2025-08-21T16:37:36","modified_gmt":"2025-08-21T16:37:36","slug":"dawsons-creek-cast-to-reunite-for-one-night-charity-event-in-support-of-james-van-der-beek","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theblondesalad.com\/en\/lifestyle\/dawsons-creek-cast-to-reunite-for-one-night-charity-event-in-support-of-james-van-der-beek\/","title":{"rendered":"Dawson\u2019s Creek cast to reunite for one-night charity event in support of James Van Der Beek"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"2398\" data-end=\"2656\">The original cast of <strong data-start=\"2419\" data-end=\"2437\">Dawson\u2019s Creek<\/strong> is reuniting for the first time in 22 years in a special one-night-only charity event to support <strong data-start=\"2535\" data-end=\"2557\">James Van Der Beek<\/strong>, who was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer in 2024.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2398\" data-end=\"2656\">\n<p data-start=\"2658\" data-end=\"3115\">Scheduled for <strong data-start=\"2672\" data-end=\"2694\">September 22, 2025<\/strong>, at the <strong data-start=\"2703\" data-end=\"2730\">Richard Rodgers Theatre<\/strong> in New York City, the event will feature the original stars\u2014<strong data-start=\"2791\" data-end=\"2813\">James Van Der Beek<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2815\" data-end=\"2836\">Michelle Williams<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2838\" data-end=\"2854\">Katie Holmes<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2856\" data-end=\"2874\">Joshua Jackson<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2876\" data-end=\"2893\">Busy Philipps<\/strong>, among others\u2014performing a <strong data-start=\"2921\" data-end=\"2966\">live reading of the series\u2019 pilot episode<\/strong> in aid of <strong data-start=\"2977\" data-end=\"2989\">F Cancer<\/strong>, raising both awareness of early cancer detection and support for their friend James.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2658\" data-end=\"3115\">\n<p data-start=\"3117\" data-end=\"3509\">Directed by former series director <strong data-start=\"3152\" data-end=\"3167\">Jason Moore<\/strong> and co-produced by <strong data-start=\"3187\" data-end=\"3207\">Kevin Williamson<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"3209\" data-end=\"3230\">Michelle Williams<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"3232\" data-end=\"3249\">Greg Berlanti<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"3251\" data-end=\"3266\">Thomas Kail<\/strong>, and other key figures, the event is poised to be a heartfelt reunion and a statement of solidarity. Tickets will be on sale from <strong data-start=\"3435\" data-end=\"3448\">August 22<\/strong> via Broadway Direct.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3117\" data-end=\"3509\">\n<p data-start=\"3511\" data-end=\"3777\">Creator Kevin Williamson remarked: <em data-start=\"3546\" data-end=\"3642\">\u201cDawson\u2019s Creek changed my life.
