WHERE TO EAT
\nScarpetta Beach at Gurney’s<\/a><\/strong> (290 Old Montauk Hwy, Montauk)
\nThis beautiful Montauk Hotel is one of the most elegant and glamorous of the area: it not only features a luxury spa, it also has the fantastic restaurant Scarpetta Beach, which is a real treat! Italian talent, French elegance and an ocean view: your bill might be high, but it will be totally worth it!<\/p>\n

Sant’Ambroeus<\/a> <\/strong>(30 Main Street<\/a>, Southampton)
\nAnyone who lives in Milan — and a lot of us at TBS do — knows that this wonderful place is a guarantee of excellent food, and for the joy of New Yorkers, it’s recently opened up also at the Hamptons. Lunch, dinner, aperitif, but most of all Italian-style breakfast, with cappuccino and a croissant, as well as one of the peninsula’s best avocado toasts.<\/p>\n

La Fondita<\/a><\/strong> (74 Montauk Hwy, Amagansett)
\nEating well without spending a fortune is also possible at the Hamptons: that’s the case at this little Mexican restaurant, where you can taste utterly delicious nachos and tacos. The atmosphere is wonderful, with colorful tables and a sky-blue walls and a relaxed, informal feel. Their menu offers a wide selection, and it’s made to be compatible with a very wide range of food choices. We recommend chorizo, plantains with salsa verde, and aguas frescas, the typical non-alcoholic, fruit and water-based Mexican drinks: they are tasty and refreshing!<\/p>\n

WHAT TO SEE, WHERE TO SHOP<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wainscott \u00a0Beach<\/strong>
\nThis is an excellent location for a day out on the coast. Since it’s not so easy to access by road, and it’s mostly accessible from private properties, it’s one of the quietest and most deserted beaches in the area. You won’t see many tourists there.<\/p>\n

Sag Harbour<\/strong>
\nIt’s hard to find something like this anywhere else: a bay, dotted with small tourist marinas, where you can practice water sports ranging from sailing to SUP. You must stop by!<\/p>\n

Montauk<\/strong>
\nIf you want to get away from the city bustle, Montauk is the right place for you. Located at the end of the peninsula, it has a beautiful lighthouse, it’s very popular with surfers, and most of all, it’s the most untouched part of the Hamptons, because it’s the furthest away from New York City.<\/p>\n

East Hamptons and Southampton<\/strong>
\nIf you’re looking for the most typical Hampton-like scenery you can imagine, this is where you should go: you’ll find quirky places, cute and local shops, but you’ll also get a few options for luxury shopping.<\/p>\n
