September 23rd, the official end of the summer, is still far away, but to many of us, time for the holidays is already gone. What are we going to remember about this season? A lot of fashion obsessions we’re not going to forget any sooner and that will spice our outfits up until we’re waiting to focus on fall and winter purchases. We’re going to show you our top 5 fashion obsessions of summer 2018: remember them with The Blonde Salad!

Shell necklaces, and much more!

This summer, everybody has worn a shell necklace! Our dearest Chiara Ferragni was probably the first sponsor of this fashion obsession: she used to wear it weeks before the official start of the holidays on her city looks! Her fave? The Mana Way X The Blonde Salad shell necklace, a special limited edition that went sold out in a few days! Shells were pretty much everywhere: not only on collars, but also on bracelets, anklets and even bikinis, the same Dua Lipa wore!

If shorts have been the kings of summer looks, bike shorts have been the princes! Weeks before the kick off of the summer, we already told you that this Nineties trend was about to spread out. And we were right! Our fave fashion influencers, with their #OOTD posted on Instagram, suggested many ways to wear bike shorts even in fall, matching it with a blazer or a parka. We’re pretty sure we’re going to see many bike shorts lovers in the front row at fashion weeks!

Dior Saddle bag

It bag of summer 2018? Dior Saddle bag, for sure! John Galliano‘s masterpiece, created in the early 2000s and become a cult piece thanks to Sex and the City, was pretty much on every Instagirls, Chiara Ferragni included. You probably noticed that on July 19th they all celebrated the Dior Saddle day with an explosion of posts dedicated to this amazing handbag, revisited by creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri.

The straw hat

It’s Italy. I can be dramatic.

Another accessory we’re going to remember is the straw hat! We already knew it was going to become the ultimate must-have on the coolest beaches in the world, like Ibiza, Hawaii, Sicily and Cote d’Azur! From Jacquemus giant straw hats to handmade ones, they take us through the summer. When we’ll wave them goodbye, we’ll finally know that summer is really gone. Are we going to wear them again next year or are we going to forget it?
