Happy birthday, Cara Delevingne! Today the top model turns 26 years old. We all remember her amazing girls-trip in Mexico with all her famous friends, like Adwoa Aboah, Suki Waterhouse, and Georgia May Jagger. How will she celebrate today? Waiting to discover it, find out five reasons why we love Cara Delevingne!
For her killer walk on the runway
Modelling is not her only activity anymore. But every time she jumps on the catwalk, all eyes are on Cara Delevingne! Thanks to her killer walk, she became a favourite for the most important brands like Chanel, Fendi, and Valentino. A few years ago, she took a break from the fashion scene, but the last February she surprised everybody walking the runway for the farewell show of Christopher Bailey at Burberry, wearing this iconic rainbow fur coat.
She’s not afraid to take risks
When she was at the top of her career as a top model, she decided to take a break and starting an acting career, her true goal in life. Last year, she said goodbye to her famous blonde locks, arriving at the Met Gala 2017 with a silver shaved head. She’s so brave!
For her eyebrows
We have to thank Cara Delevingne if thin eyebrows aren’t fashionable anymore! When the Cara phenomenon exploded around 2012, her bushy eyebrows became the most discussed topic on the web. We’re not joking: eyebrows tweezers sales dramatically dropped when she became the knight of natural eyebrows! Thanks to Cara, we understood how to take care of them, and we discover new products like eyebrows pencil and mascaras!
She doesn’t hide her insecurities
I can’t believe my book #MirrorMirror is coming out so soon – 5th October!! To celebrate, there are 500 of these cool Mirror, Mirror tote bags up for grabs to anyone that has pre-ordered a copy of the book or a ticket to one of my events (UK ONLY). We already told you that Cara Delevingne is a very courageous woman! She never hid her weaknesses. In some interviews, she opened up about her mother’s battle with heroine’s addiction, her depression and her bisexuality. Like all of us, she took some time to accept herself completely. Now she’s a brand new woman, and she wants to become a role model for all the girls. She dedicated to them her first book Mirror, mirror.
She supports women
Cara Delevingne turned her incredible media exposure into a way to support women all around the world. She accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment, and she supported Time’s Up movement. She’s also the ambassador of Lady Garden, the no-profit association founded by her sister Chloe to raise awareness on gynaecological cancer.
