  • It’s really fantastic. Awesome pictures. I like shopping too, and I know that Dubai is one of the most popular emirates and shopper’s paradise. Dubai has almost 50 shopping malls and seeing their images, I want to go there at least once in my lifetime.

  • Heya exceptional blog! Does running a blog like this require a large amount of work?

I’ve absolutely no expertise in computer programming however I was hoping to start my own blog in the near future. Anyhow, should you have any recommendations or tips for new blog owners please share. I know this is off subject but I simply wanted to ask. Cheers!

You should do the desert safari and the hot air balloon ride 🙂 Weather is perfect now in Dubai. If you are spending the new year, go to Sandance (music festival) at Nasimi beach. Cold play will be performing. There are alot of good restaurants and clubs too. Enjoy your trip 🙂

    Hey, I am from Dubai
And you got to visit some places in Dubai.
Like Atlantis and Jumeirah Beach for a Swim .
The Walk next to Jumeirah Beach you can swim then sit at the best restaurants and shop.
Dubai Mall is a must, it's like the indoors Downtown and you can visit Burj khalifa. Best part about it is the Fashion Walk in the mall. Sit at the coffee shops outside and attend the Fountain shows (It is really cool) you can see Burj Khalifa from over there.
Outside Dubai Mall where the coffee shops are you can walk to the Arabic shops. It is connected to the mall
If you'd like you can go to Ski Dubai, but it's not that exciting.

    I hope I helped. 😀

you can't miss Burj Khalifa and Burj Arab. The fountain [biggest fountain in the world] plays every 30mins starts from 7pm.
Dubai mall and Emirates mall. Jumeirah Beach. Bastakiya is a nice area as well.

You should try Shakespeare and Co., a little cafe with Victorian decorations and fantastic fooodddd!!!!

You should find a place for Henna service. Henna stays on ur skin for about 2 wks, like a temporary tatoo. very Arabic 🙂

    Have funnn!! <3

    Hi Chiara,

You really have to go to Medinat Jumeirah! There is a wonderful souk with lots of shops and restaurants! There you can go by boats from one place to another, like in venice! It is very nice!

Have a drink in the Sky-Bar at Burj al Arab! The view is awesome!

In the old parts of Dubai you will find traditional souks, like the gold souk (market) – where u can buy jewelery more cheaper than in Europe! – and a souk where you can buy oriental herbals! Also you can have a nice tour on the creek (river) by boat…

Burj Khalifa and the fontaine are really nice, also the biggest Shopping mall in Dubai Downtown (next to Burj Khalifa) with every designer store you can imagine!

    For dinner:
Restaurant "Pierchic" and "Pai Thai" in "Medinat jumeirah"
    are AWESOME!!!!

Have fun & hopefully the weather is fine!

    Greetings from Germany

you'va chose a great place for a new year))))

-Dubai Mall (there you can combine shopping, visit Burj Khalifa ^ the highest builing in the world, dont forget to book tickets before 2-3 days, and dancing fountains (prefer evening time) like in las vegas)
-Atlantis on the palm Jumeirah, nice restaurants like Nobu and cool aquarium.
-visit Burj Al Arab, worth to see, but dont spend a lot of time there, better walk to Marina, nice place to spend evening at the cafe with marina view.

we're living here at the winter time^ so if u have any questions

    Have fun in Dubai!

A city that changes every time I go there but to the latest news you should definitely go to the Armani hotel at Burj Khalifa for drinks and if you like to eat very well Pierre Gagnaire has a restaurant called "reflets" which is pretty amazing (he is the chef of "Sketch" in London if you know it)

If you want to see a more traditional U.A.E go to Abu Dhabi for the day and also organize a desert safari – The hotel Bab al Shams desert resort organizes a very nice desert safari tour 🙂

hope it helps! have a fantastic holiday!

  • Welcome to Dubai!

I'm a fashion stylist/blogger from Sweden who's been living here for almost three years. This is some of my favourite spots in the city:

If you wanna go out for a drink before dinner I think Siddhartha in Grosvenor House, Dubai Marina is a must see. So is Jetty Lounge and Bar 101 at the One & Only hotels. Perfect for a sundowner with a beautiful view over the palm or Dubai's skyline.
One & Only Royal Mirage has a beautiful restaurant called "Arabian Court" if you want to try the local food in a arabian nights surrounding.

You can find lots of good restaurants and bars in DIFC like Zuma, Le Petit Mansion and Caramel. There's also some great restaurants in The Emirates Towers just next door (The Ivy, Hakkasan).

If you want to see the palm and Atlantis Hotel you should go to Nasimi Beach. It's my favourite beach bar in Dubai. The place looks amazing and has the most awesome view over Dubai.

I think the Dubai Marina is the nicest area with the walk along the beach where you can find lots of cosy cafés and restaurants. You can also find the best fashion store here – Boutique 1. A multi brand store with amazing collections.

If you want to go up in the top of Burj Khalifa make sure you book the tickets a couple of days in advance on the internet coz it's always fully booked and trust me, you don't want to pay the entrance fee in the door. It's three times the price on the net!
You can also go up to the restaurant At.Mosphere and have dinner and watch the view from there.

I like to shop in Dubai Mall because there you can find EVERYTHING and from there you also have the view over the fountain and Burj Khalifa.
Best area is Fashion Avenue. Don't miss out on "Symphony", they have some amazing designers from the region mixed with some of the most famous international brands.
The Fashion Dome in Mall of the Emirates is also good. But I prefer Dubai Mall. (if you're in MAO don't miss the restaurant MOMO's, the best in the mall!)

The Madinat, next to Burj Al Arab is a nice area and looks like an old Souk. The Hotel "Al Qasr" is one of the most beautiful in the area and is pefect for a drink before dinner. They also hosts an amazing brunch every Friday at 12-4.

If you want to see the old parts of Dubai I think Bastakiya is the best place to go. Make sure you go there at day time coz everything close at 6. I think the gold souk is over rated and to messy but it's always nice to take a bout back and forward at the creek.

I'm sure you're gonna have an amazing time in Dubai!
Give me a shoot out if you need a guide! 🙂

    Lisa xx

PS: You can find lots of tips on good restaurants and places to visit on my blog: DS

  • Ciao!
    Buona vacanza!
