Oh, I love you so Matcha!

The days of Frappuccino are numbered: everyone is so obsessed with health consciousness that it even influences their order at Starbucks, and one ingredient the king of this trend: matcha. It’s nothing new of course, matcha is a green tea variety originating from China. The green tea leaves are steamed, dried and subsequently ground into fine powder. As well as a beverage, matcha is also used in food production as green coloring, for products such as green tea ice cream, for instance. Why try it? Because it is rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, and it will energize you in a healthy way, thanks to its low caffeine content.

Let’s go back to our usual business: we are here to recommend our three favorite matcha places in our three favorite cities.

Milan – Macha Café. Could our city possibly miss the trend? Of course not, and this little place is there to show it. On top of the several matcha-themed things on the menu, you might totally fall for their avocado-burgers… Where avocado is used as bread!

NY – Cha Cha Matcha. Attention, attention all units: this is the cutest place in the world, it’s all green and pink! We take no responsibility for the amount of Instagram posting that will be going on here, and for the number of friends who will subsequently unfollow you because of the cuteness overload.

LA – Matcha Box. Their slogan is “no milk, no sugar, no cash”, and this place won the hearts of many residents of the City of Angels. Their desserts are a must-try, and they will convince you to come back again, and again, and again!
