We spent the 13rd day of our Coast to Coast in Santa fe, that we chose as a stop before the national parks instead of Albuquerque, following your advice (thanks so much!)
Santa Fe was one of the places I enjoyed visiting the most: after some hours at the pool on Wednesday morning we walked in the city and went shopping a bit. I finally found a pair of simple black booties in a store (Kowboyz) in which there were at least 500 pairs of Camperos to choose from, and I also got a beautiful cowboy shirt (so Isabel Marant fall/winter 2012) and a pair of vintage earrings. In a mix between Mexico and United States I tried some of my favourite dishes (tacos and chicken fajitas), I got excited in the stores for the big quantity of vintage jewels, played billiards until late night and fell in love with the kindness of the locals: a 10 goes to Santa Fe!
Abbiamo passato il nostro tredicesimo giorno di Coast to Coast a Santa Fe, che abbiamo scelto come tappa prima dei parchi nazionali al posto di Albuquerque come molti di voi mi avevano consigliato (a proposito… Grazie mille!)
Santa Fe è stato uno dei posti che più mi è piaciuto visitare: dopo qualche ora di relax in piscina mercoledi mattina abbiamo fatto un giro della città e “saccheggiato” alcuni dei bellissimi negozi. Ho finalmente trovato un paio di stivaletti neri semplici in un negozio (Kowboyz) in cui c’erano almeno 500 paia di camperos tra cui scegliere, a cui poi ho aggiunto una camicia in stile cowboy (molto Isabel Marant autunno/inverno 2012) ed un paio di orecchini vintage. In un mix tra Messico e Stati Uniti ho mangiato alcuni dei miei piatti preferiti (tacos e fajitas al pollo), sono rimasta incantata nei vari store della città (mai avevo visto una simile quantità di gioielli vintage), ho giocato a biliardo fino a notte tarda e ho ammirato la gentilezza e disponibilità degli abitanti del luogo: voto 10 a Santa Fe!
