In 2009 I spent almost 2 months in Chicago (Richi was here for a 3 months internship) during the fall/winter time but, after these four days in the city, I can definitely say summer has such a different flavour. Today, after the last hours at Lollapalooza (yesterday night listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers in the park surrounded by skyscrapers was priceless) we’re going to say goodbye to this place that looks like home and we’re going to continue our coast to coast, this time towards St.Louis.
These are the first photos we shot here, last Thursday: after a walk in the city I went to Azeeza’s showroom, creator of the brand Atelier Azza, inspired by her indian origins. I chose some pieces to bring on my trip with me and other ones to be directly sent to Milano because my suitcase is already full: It was so hard to choose between embroidered dresses, collars and blazers.
Azeeza then brought us to have lunch at Ikram, and for the occasion she wanted me to wear one of her creations: I chose the white dress you see in the pictures, that I first wore with Prada wedges and then, to walk in the afternoon, with Marc Jacobs glitter flats, definitely more comfortable.
We shot most of the photos in one of Gold Coast beaches, exactly where Richi and I had our flats and where we used to take photos at most of my outfits for the first posts of the blog (look at this post and tell me If you find any differences) 😀
We then walked the other guys on Michigan Avenue and on the top of John Hancock bulding, enjoying the view and the memories of two and a half years ago, so bittersweet.
Nel 2009 ho passato quasi due mesi a Chicago (Richi era qui per uno stage di 3 mesi) durante il periodo autunnale/invernale ma, dopo questi quattro giorni passati in questa città , posso dire che l’estate qui ha decisamente tutto un altro sapore. Oggi, dopo l’ultimo salto al Lollapalooza (ieri sera ascoltare i Red Hot Chili Peppers nel parco circondati da grattacieli è stato indescrivibile) saluteremo questo luogo che sento un po’ come casa per proseguire con il nostro coast to coast, questa volta verso St.Louis.
Queste sono le prime foto scattate qui, giovedi scorso: dopo un giro per la città nella mattinata sono stata nello showroom di Azeeza, creatrice del brand Atelier Azza, ispirato alle sue origini indiane. Ho scelto alcuni capi da portare con me in viaggio ed altri da mandare direttamente a Milano causa valigia già stracolma: tra vestitini con applicazioni, colletti di pietre e blazer con maxi borchie c’era da perdere la testa.
Azeeza ci ha poi portati a pranzo da Ikram, e per l’occasione ha voluto che indossassi una delle sue creazioni: ho scelto l’abito che vedete nelle foto, che all’inizio ho indossato con zeppe di Prada e poi, per camminare nel pomeriggio, con ballerine di Marc Jacobs, decisamente più comode.
Abbiamo scattato la maggior parte delle foto nella spiaggia della Gold Coast, esattamente dove io e Richi avevamo il nostro appartamento e dove facevamo spesso foto per i primi post del blog (guardate questo post e ditemi se trovate qualche differenza) 😀
Abbiamo poi portato gli altri ragazzi in giro per Michigan Avenue e sul John Hancock building, godendoci la vista ed i ricordi di due anni e mezzo fa, so bittersweet.
