What about yesterday? We woke up so early in the morning to drive for the three hours to Calais where we took the train of the channel tunnel, such a strange experience. It is such a useful way to reach England from France in half an hour but there always is this feeling to be inside a matrioska: you’re stuck in your car which is stuck in the train which goes through the tunnel which is underwater 😀
After other two hours of driving we reached London, and I spent the first afternoon in this amazing city in the best way: I met Rosie Hardy , one of my favourite photographers in the whole world, that I’ve been following for some years on flickr. We shot all the afternoon moving from Regents park and going around the city to find nice locations for the photos. I’ll have the photos in some days, I can only anticipate that I had to climb a tree, I went around the park without shoes, I changed my clothes in the centre and I ran in a fountain. It was the funniest photoshoot I’ve ever did, Rosie is such a sweet and wonderful girl, and also such a great professional. Being able to work with her was an unforgettable experience that we have to repeat as soon as possible. In this post I uploaded some backstage photos taken by Richie but I prefered not to give you clear ideas about the photoshoot, not to ruin you the surprise 😀
The other photos were taken in fron of our hotel in Notting Hill before going to dinner at the Electric (nice place where I always go when I’m in London), that was supposed to be the outfit of the day, even If i changed clothes during all the afternoon for the photos with Rosie. The studded jacket seemed perfect to me for the studded sandals I found in New York last week.
And today we have a full day in London before leaving tomorrow for Amsterdam 🙂
La giornata di ieri? Ci siamo alzati praticamente all’alba per percorrere le 3 ore che ci dividevano da Calais in cui abbiamo preso il treno che percorre il tunnel sotto la manica, esperienza decisamente particolare.Il mezzo è comodissimo ed in circa mezz’ora ti porta da Francia a Inghilterra ma persiste la sensazione di essere dentro ad una matrioska: rimani infatti chiuso nella tua macchina che rimane chiusa nel treno che percorre il tunnel che è sott’acqua 😀
Dopo altre due ore di macchina siamo arrivati a Londra, ed ho passato il primo pomeriggio in questa favolosa città nel migliore dei modi: ho infatti incontrato Rosie Hardy , una delle mie fotografe preferite al mondo, che seguivo da alcuni anni su flickr. Abbiamo scattato per tutto il pomeriggio muovendoci da Regents Park ed andando in giro per la città cercando posti adatti alle foto. Avrò le foto postprodotte tra qualche giorno, vi posso solo anticipare che ho “scalato” un albero, sono andata in giro nel parco a piedi nudi, mi sono cambiata continuamente vestiti in pieno centro ed ho corso in mezzo ad una fontana. E’ stato il servizio fotografico più divertente che io abbia mai fatto, e Rosie è una ragazza splendida e dolcissima, oltre ad essere una grande professionista. Poter lavorare insieme a lei è stato un’esperienza davvero indimenticabile che dobbiamo ripetere prima possibile. Nel post ho uploadato alcune foto di backstage scattate da Richie ma ho preferito non darvi idee chiare delle vere foto scattate, per non rovinarvi la sorpresa 😀
Le altre foto sono state scattate di fronte al nostro hotel a Notting Hill appena prima di andare a cena all’Electric (posto in cui vado sempre quando mi trovo a Londra), il mio outfit del giorno era in teoria quello, anche se mi sono cambiata durante tutto il pomeriggio per le diverse foto insieme a Rosie. La giacca con borchie mi sembrava perfetta per i sandali che ho trovato a New York settimana scorsa.
Ed oggi una giornata intera da passare a Londra, prima di partire domani verso Amsterdam 🙂
