Here is the reportage of my fourth day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week New York, on Sunday. The first fashionshow I attended was Tory Burch, that I really enjoyed: pieds de poule coats, huge fur hats (like the ones I’m wearing here in NY) and wide pants, which looked like maxi skirts before the models started to walk. I really loved the coloured ones, but also the black ones will be a must-have item in the fashionistas’ closet.
Ecco il reportage del mio quarto giorno di Mercedes Benz Fashion week New York, la scorsa domenica. La prima sfilata a cui ho assistito è stata quella di Tory Burch, che ho molto apprezzato: cappotti in pieds de poule, mega cappelli di pelo (come quelli che da giorni uso qui a NY) e soprattutto i pantaloni larghissimi, che sembravano gonne lunghe prima che le modelle si muovessero.
Mi sono piaciuti in particolare quelli colorati, ma anche quelli neri saranno capi imperdibili nell’armadio delle amanti della moda.
The second show was Diane Von Furstenberg, one of the fashionshows I was waiting for and that left me speechless. On the catwalk I saw long dresses with transparencies, fluo colours, unexpected coloured furs and I fell in love with the last 3 long dresses: red, black and electric blue. Absolutely perfect.
La seconda sfilata della giornata è stata per me Diane Von Furstenberg, una di quelle che più aspettavo e che non mi ha lasciata delusa. In passerella ho visto abiti lunghi con trasparenze, colori fluo, pellicciotti dalle tonalità più inaspettate e mi sono innamorata degli ultimi tre abiti lunghi: rosso, nero e blu elettrico. Assolutamente perfetti.
For the outfit of the day I finally wore my vintage maxi lace skirt that I had bought in London last november, the photographers really enjoyed it because of the wind games 😀
Per l’outfit del giorno ho finalmente indossato la mia maxi gonna vintage trasparente di pizzo che avevo preso lo scorso novembre a Londra, che è piaciuta soprattutto ai fotografi grazie ai giochi creati dal vento 😀

The third fashionshow was Y-3: the designer played a lot with shapes and materials, creating monocromatic works of art. Loved the models’ braids and the “tecnologic” Montogomery coats, created with innovative materials.
La terza sfilata è stata quella di Y-3: lo stilista ha giocato tantissimo con le forme ed i materiali, riuscendo a creare delle piccole opere d’arte, nella maggior parte dei casi monocromatiche. Bellissime anche le acconciature di tutte le modelle e i Montgomery “tecnologici”, creati con materiali decisamente innovativi.
The last fashionshow, just before the Bloglovin’ awards, was Custo Barcelona, and It really hit me in a good way. I’ve always thought that Custo was the mix&match leader but this time It was beyond that, able to create clothes difficult to think about but easy to wear if matched to a basic outfit. I really liked the fringed and tridimensional flowers boots, the works on lace and knits and the naked/back dresses.
L’ultima sfilata, appena prima dei Bloglovin’ awards, è stata quella di Custo Barcelona, una di quelle che più mi ha stupita in maniera positiva. Ho sempre pensato che Custo fosse il leader del mix&match ma questa volta si è andati oltre, riuscendo a creare dei capi difficile da pensare ma facili da portare se abbinati ad un outfit più basico. Personalmente mi sono piaciuti tantissimo gli stivali con frange e fiori tridimensionali, le lavorazioni su pizzo e maglioni ed i vestiti con la schiena scoperta.
