My first Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York? Before starting I think it’s time to upload the Pennyblack backstage video I was shot on wednesday in New York!
Il mio primo giorno di Mercedez-Benz fashion week a New York? Prima di iniziare mi sembra giusto pubblicare anche qui il filmato del backstage del servizio fotografico di Pennyblack , realizzato lo scorso mercoledi qui a New York!
Yesterday started with the first fashionshow scheduled: Nicholas K. On the catwalk there were men and women: the clothes were simple and basic and, even if they were not 100% my taste I appreciated the various parkas (I still have to wear the one I got just before leaving) and the particularity of the wedged boots.
La giornata di ieri invece è iniziata con la prima sfilata in calendario, quella di Nicholas K. In passerella hanno sfilato sia uomini che donne: i capi erano semplici ed abbastanza basici e, nonostante non rispecchiassero al 100% il mio gusto personale, ho apprezzato molto le varianti dei parka (devo ancora indossare quello comprato appena prima di partire) e la particolarità degli anfibi con zeppa.
For the daily outfit I chose one of my winning combinations, red leather trousers and striped sweater. Who follows me for a long time already knows how I appreciate this combo, that I wore in different occasions.
This time I tried to enrich the look with some new rings bought here (from Topshop and Red Sofa, not talking about the new Pamela Love one), hat and a Campbell’s soup by Andy Warhol necklace I made by myself some years ago.
Per l’outfit della giornata ho scelto una delle mie combinazioni vincenti, ossia pantaloni di pelle rossa e maglioncino a righe. Chi mi segue da tempo sa quanto io apprezzi la semplicità di questo abbinamento, che ho sfoggiato in diverse occasioni. Questa volta ho arricchito il look con alcuni nuovi anelli comprati qui (di Topshop e Red Sofa, per non parlare di quello nuovo di Pamela Love), bombetta e una collana che avevo creato anni fa con il barattolo Campbell’s di Andy Warhol
It was then the turn of Jenni Kayne fashionshow, organized at the Industria Superstudio where, last April, I took part of the Benetton backstage shooting, how small the world is! The collection was marvellous to me: fluo colours, silk, long skirts, maxi pullovers, feathers inserts… All I’d like to wear now..
E’ stato poi il turno della sfilata di Jenni Kayne, organizzata all’Industria Superstudio, dove, lo scorso aprile, avevo assistito al servizio fotografico di Benetton, quanto è piccolo il mondo! La collezione era a mio parere splendida: colori fluo, seta, gonne lunghe, maxi pull, inserti di piume… Tutto quello che vorrei indossare ora…
After the fashionshow we went to the Tiffany&co store on 5th Avenue, where I had the chance to see the preview of the new spring/summer collection bags, which will be available in the next weeks.
Dopo la sfilata siamo stati al negozio di Tiffany&co sulla 5th avenue, dove ho potuto assistere alla presentazione delle nuove borse della primavera/estate 2011, disponibili tra poche settimane.
From 4 to 5.30 I talked about my blogging experience at the IFB conference (independent fashion bloggers) and I was so nervous about it: It was the first time I had to talk in English in front of more than 300 people, and everything was also being filmed streaming for all the world, I knew I would have made some mistakes. At the end It went better than I thought and I also met a lot of sweet american followers 🙂
Dalle 4 alle 5.30 ho invece parlato della mia esperienza da blogger alla conferenza di IFB (independent fashion bloggers), per la quale ero agitatissima: era la prima volta che parlavo in inglese davanti ad una sala di oltre 300 persone, il tutto veniva trasmesso in tutto il mondo in streaming e sapevo che avrei commesso non pochi errori. Alla fine è andata meglio del previsto ed ho anche avuto la possibilità di conoscere tantissime follower americane 🙂
At 6 I should have had Wayne’s fashionshow but, since the conference finished late, I didn’t make it in time :S
The day ended with a pizza with all the crew at John’s near Times Square, and a present from Michael Kors waiting for me at the hotel 🙂

Alle 6 avrei dovuto partecipare alla sfilata di Wayne, ma essendo la conferenza finita tardi non ho proprio fatto in tempo :S
La giornata si è conclusa con una pizza con tutta la compagnia da John’s vicino a Times Square, ed un regalo di Michael Kors che mi aspettava in hotel 🙂
