Yesterday was the last day of Paris fashion week and I’m sure that a better end wasn’t possible. The Louis Vuitton spring summer 2012 show was one of my favourite but this time Marc Jacobs (remember the white carillon?) did a better job. When I got to the location I found myself inside a huge 20’s station, the lights were down and that’s why at the very first time I didn’t realize that in the middle of the catwalk there was a rail. At 10am, as always on time, the show started and from a really big door an steam train (all costomized in Vuitton style) took some very special passengers at the station. Inside the wagon all the models were seated as they came back from a long journey as women of high society on the Orient Express. Every model has her own porter, who helped her to carry the heavy bags, luggages and hat boxes. Wearing a tall hat and cigarette pants under long embroidered coat, they hit the catwalk telling the story of their magnificent travel.

from last summer again and bringing with me, for the first time, Werelse for Mango clutch with chain bracelet 🙂
Ieri è stato l’ultimo giorno della settimana della moda di Parigi e sono sicura che non avrebbe potuto esserci fine migliore. La sfilata di Louis Vuitton primavera estate 2012 è stata una delle mie preferite (ricordate il carillon bianco?), ma questa volta Marc Jacobs ha fatto anche meglio.
Quando sono arrivata nella location mi son ritrovata dentro un’enorme stazione anni ’20, le luci erano basse e in un primo momento non avevo notato che in mezzo alla passerella c’era un binario. Alle 10, come sempre in orario, è iniziato lo show e da una porta enorme un treno a vapore (tutto customizzato in stile Vuitton) ha portato passeggere davvero speciali in stazione. Dentro il vagone tutte le modelle erano sedute come se tornassero da un lungo viaggio come le donne d’alta società sull’Orient Express. Ogni modella aveva il proprio facchino, che l’aiutava a portare le borse pesanti, bagagli e cappelliere. Indossando cappelli alti e pantaloni a sigaretta sotto lunghi cappotti ricamati, hanno sfilato raccontando la storia del loro magnifico viaggio.
Ho scelto un look sui toni del nero e blu elettrico, reindossando la camicia di Emilio Pucci dell’estate scorsa e portando con me per la prima volta la clutch di Werelse for Mango con bracciale e catena 🙂
