For now this probably has been the most touching day spent in Paris, where I’ll probably stay longer than I thought 🙂
Dio fashionshow definitely was the most amazing: before the models went on the catwalk, Sidney Toledano, CEO, made a speech about the values of the brand, taking distance from the bad words told by John Galliano last week. On the catwalk wonderful dresses with ruches, lace inserts and transparencies, and among the most amazing shoes designed by the controversal designer, whose fashionshow was his last one for the maison Dior. I got really touched by the final: a lot of models on the catwalk and, to receive claps from the audience, all the people who worked at the collection, mainly tailors and technicians, in white scrub. Give a look at my video and you’ll all understand why we all were shacking by the final. Wonderful.
Fino ad ora questa è stata la giornata più emozionante passata qui a Parigi, dove probabilmente mi fermerò più del previsto 🙂
La sfilata di Dior è stata decisamente quella più toccante: prima di far sfilare le modelle in passerella è entrato in scena Sidney Toledano, amministratore delegato, che ha fatto un discorso sui valori del brand, prendendo le distanze dalle infamanti parole pronunciate da John Galliano della scorsa settimana. In passerella stupendi abiti con ruches, inserti di pizzo e trasparenze, e tra le più belle scarpe disegnate dal controverso stilista, la cui sfilata è stata la sua ultima per la maison Dior. Davvero emozionante il finale: decine e decine di modelle sulla catwalk e, a prendersi gli applausi del pubblico, tutti coloro che hanno lavorato alla collezione, principalmente sarti e tecnici, in camice bianco. Date un’occhiata al mio filmato e capirete come mai avevamo tutti i brividi. Meraviglioso
For the outfit of the day I wore an Amen dress, Louboutin shoes and a Dior bag (definitely a small one 😀 ).
Per l’outfit del giorno ho indossato un abito di Amen, scarpe Louboutin e una borsa (che passa proprio inosservata) di Dior.
The second fashionshow I attended was Vivienne Westwood gold label, in which I found really hard to wear most of the dresses (but everybody knows Vivienne doesn’t create easy clothes) and shoes to stop your breath: shiny, glittered or sequined, golden or silver ones. Also here the best arrived at the end: a wonderful wedding dress and sequined coming down from the ceiling, and the amazing Vivienne on the catwalk with the models in a golden rain.
Since I’m staying in Paris longer than I expected and I don’t have any fashionshow planned for today, Richi and I are gonna enjoy our Saturday like kids, together at Disneyland. The idea started as a joke and it became real: I already can imagine how crazy I’ll look when I see Mickey Mouse, like the first time (but at the time I was eight or nine 😀 ).

La seconda sfilata a cui ho assistito è stata quella di Vivienne Westwood gold label, nella quale ho trovato alcuni abiti splendidi ma oggettivamente molto poco sfruttabili (ma si sa che Vivienne non crea opere semplici) e scarpe da mozzare il fiato: luccicanti, glitterati e paillettate, rigorosamente dorate o argentate. Anche qui il meglio è arrivato alla fine: un bellissimo abito da sposa e paillettes che cadevano dal soffitto, e la favolosa Vivienne in passerella con le modelle in una pioggia dorata.
Visto che mi fermerò a Parigi più di quello che pensavo ed oggi non ho sfilate in programma, io e Richi ci godremo una giornata ritornando bambini, insieme a Disneyland. L’idea è partita come uno scherzo e pian piano è diventata sempre più realistica: so già le scene da pazza che farò quando vedrò Topolino, come la prima volta (peccato che all’epoca avessi otto o nove anni, tralasciamo 😀 ).
