THE BLONDE SALAD AND CHIARA FERRAGNI COLLECTION GO PLASTIC FREE WITH CULLIGAN

The fashion system’s impact on our planet gets more and more heard, many have been the actions taken in the last years to try to change the things and appeal to people’s moral sense. The Blonde Salad and Chiara Ferragni Collection wanted to contribute with a great little initiative that starts from something that we use every day but actually represents one of the most ruthless enemies of our environment: plastic. The companies of which Chiara Ferragni is CEO say definitely no to plastic bottles, announcing their accession to the #waterbattle campaign launched by Culligan, which has the goal of raising citizens’ awareness about their environmental impact, actively involving them in the process of change adopting a righteous lifestyle.

Culligan, a global leader in the water treatment, takes at the first place the preservation of our environment through the Bio-Refresh system: a solution which has been recommended by Legambiente that has monitored the environmental impact of the Culligan coolers. The Blonde Salad and Chiara Ferragni Collection have been equipped with dispensers that immediately treat, cool and gas water, zeroing the plastic bottles consumption by eliminating more than 3456 plastic bottles a year. Do you want to know what all this corresponds to? It means saving almost 100 kg of PET that corresponds to 190 kg of petrol and 336 kg of CO2; it feels strange to know the data of the real plastic impact on our environment, isn’t it? But it’s not over! This Plastic Free initiative can generate a positive effect equal to the one that would have to plant 13 new trees each season.

What’s our goal? To make the respect of nature an absolute value, no matter if it deals with fashion, digital or food. What is fundamental is having a conscience that the reduction of plastic and waste’s dispersion in the planet to protect the environment and the future generations, should be necessary considered the first trend to follow for real.
