For some years now my days have been very full: everything has to be well organized in order for me to catch every airplane in time and to arrive prepared for every appointment. This is why I can’t live without a watch: it’s an essential accessory for me! For this reason I was very happy to be invited to take part in the jury of the Calvin Klein + Jewelry, who in collaboration with IED Milano, Shanghai’s Donghua University and the New York FIT, has awarded the most original students who created 3 watches using revolutionary materials in accordance to Calvin Klein’s style. On Thuersday I flew over to Basel to award the three winners: one of them was italian, her name is Ilaria Tartarelli! Seeing them receive their prize was exciting: a further demonstration that we must believe in our dreams, and sooner or later they will come true….Theirs was unfolding right in front of my eyes: the participants were able to see their watches come to life, which were exhibited in Baselworld (the most important trade show for this sector!) with the Calvin Klein Watches and Jewelry collections. I was really proud to be even just a small part of this project that rewards young and creative talents 🙂
