WHERE TO GO TO THE BEACH
–Flamingo beach (Viale Leonardo da Vinci sn. – zona balneare 45) RICCIONE
This will give you the feeling of not even being in Italy anymore, thanks to the large straw beach umbrellas, and the palms surrounding the property. The ambiance is elegant, yet welcoming — and if you are sunshine addicts, make sure you stay all the way to dinner, because there’s an excellent restaurant on the premises! Basically: there’s good sunshine, good food and lots of fun to be had!
– Bagno Elio (Via San Salvador bagni 70/71 – Torre Pedrera) RIMINI
As everyone knows, and it’s the same for us here at TBS crew, some people love to completely relax when sunbathing, while others need activity on the beach, too. Bagno Elio has tons of sunbed and umbrella space, but also three beach volleyball fields, two tables for table tennis, a basketball court, an area to play bocce, as well as kayaks and pedal boats. So you can tan without getting bored!
WHERE TO EAT
– Casina del Bosco (Viale Antonio Beccadelli, 15) RIMINI
We know, we know you’re waiting for nothing other than the best tip for a typical Romagna piadina, so here you are! This place tries to unify local culinary tradition and innovation in their topping choices. In summer, you’ll be able to enjoy your meal in the lovely al fresco garden. Not just any piadina, but the best one! Our favorite is the one with Romagna sausage, local Cesena Squacquerone cheese, and fresh tomatoes.
– Cavalluccio Marino (Piazzale Del Porto, 3) RICCIONE
You really shouldn’t go to a seaside location and never eat any fish, that’s just wrong! This is why we recommend this restaurant to you. It not only has a wonderful fish menu, it also features an enchanting terrace, right on the sea — it’s ideal for a romantic dinner.
– SP.accio (Via San Patrignano, Coriano) RIMINI
While this is not definitely a local specialty, everyone loves a good pizza, and the guys at SP.accio make some of the best in the region. The food is very good and it comes with a good story, too. Everything is managed by the former guests of San Patrignano, a local community organization that helps former addicts beat the addiction, and rebuild their lives. The individuals helped by this organization deal with everything related to this restaurant, from the pizza makers to the cooks, from table service to sales assistants. It’s a way for them to start over, and to realise they have made it. They also use locally sourced ingredients, and they offer a beautiful view over the Romagna hills from their terrace. It will be a magical experience.
Gelateria Il Castello (Via Dario Campana,1 | Piazza Cavour, 11) RIMINI
On a hot afternoon after a day at the beach, or in the evening after a light dinner, gelato is always a good reason to love summer. On one of the town’s main roundabouts you can find this little gelato place, that is very tiny but that offers fantastic artisanal ice cream! We recommend almond and mango 🙂
WHERE TO GO FOR A DRINK, WHERE TO GO CLUBBING
– Villa delle Rose (Via Camilluccia 16, Misano Adriatico) RIMINI
This is definitely the Riviera’s trendiest club, and it makes everyone dance until 6am, especially in summer, under the stars. Get ready to go wild outdoors under the moon… And if there’s a line to go in, please don’t give up! 🙂
– Opéra Riccione (Viale D’Annunzio, 150) RICCIONE
Not feeling like staying up till dawn, or simply a bit tired after a day out in the sun? But you still want to have a drink on the beach? Well, Opera in Riccione is the best place to do that in the area. Cocktails are wonderful and the moonlight will make everything unique.
