Milan has no secrets for us, you should know by now. We spend all of our free time exploring its most remote corners, and the most exclusive locations. We realize it sounds like an obsession, if we put it this way, but we think it isn’t time to quit yet! As we did for NYC and Paris, here we are with a guide of the beauty spots you really shouldn’t miss. Ready? Set. Go!
Relax. The way you start your day can really set the mood for the rest of it, so we want to begin with something that can cause absolutely no complaints. Our first location is Palazzo Parigi, a second home for Chiara and the TBS crew, and also the location of a dreamlike spa. Try their hammam: some people say it’s just like the ones in Marrakech. If you don’t have a lot of time, but still need a nice break after a long day at work for instance, take one hour for yourself and go to the Principe di Savoia Hotel for a facial treatment with [Comfort Zone] in their Club 10 SPA on the 7th floor: it will be like being born again for the day! If you need plans for the late afternoon, QC Terme in Porta Romana is the place to go, it’s a classic we will never get tired of. Have a glass of prosecco, and a bath in their heated outdoor tubs – or why not go for sauna inside an old Milan streetcar? You can’t miss this place!
Beauty Treatments. The keyword here is, nails! Even if you don’t like nail art so much, there are still two places you really should visit in town. Bahama Mama and Violette Nails Room are the two favorites of all Milan It girls. At Bahama Mama’s you can also shop for vintage stuff, enjoy a smoothie, or watch a movie while you get your manicure. Can you think of anything better? To shape and style your hair, we recommend My Place Hair Studio or Roots. Choose according to your style: cool and modern, or bold and adventurous, since at Roots’ you can get inked, too!
Shopping. Last but not least, set aside some time to shop. La Rinascente Annex will be your first stop: they have an awesome new beauty lounge, with lots of products that are usually hard to find in Italy, such as R+Co, Smith & Cult and Ciaté. If you know these brands, you probably also know how rare their stuff is in Italy. Stroll towards the Brera area and stop by at Olfattorio, where you can lose yourself amidst wonderful fragrances, and purchase an unforgettable perfume. Profumerie Mazzolari is our last stop. It has the feel of the kind of shop our mums or our sophisticated grannies would like, but the atmosphere is incredible – this perfume shop features branded treatment cabins, where you can try out some of the exclusive rituals each of these brands can offer. It’s a must-try!
