The multifaceted and multicultural scenary of Milan is the background of many contaminations between design, art and fashion which are wonderfully unique but…is often very tricky to explore it all. That’s why we selected some can’t-miss kind of events that you need to keep as your Fuorisalone 2019 vademecum.
AMAZON – House In A Box
“House In A Box” is the first real news of this Design Week. Amazon together with the AMA Albera Monti Architetti studio, opens the doors of its Milanese headquarter to inaugurate two types of apartments completely furnished with Amazon.it products together with exceptional partners. The furniture will be, in perfect style with the brand’s vision, available only online using some purchasing tools provided by Amazon like the augmented reality, to directly display the products in one’s house or Alexa. A brand new dialogue between technology and design that you don’t have to miss!

FLORISTERIA – Fabbrica del vapore
Sustainability moves this year to the Fabbrica del Vapore for a list of events, exhibitions, workshops and performances all provided by Floristeria. In suggestive settings, the magic spanish garden will wait for you from the day to the night with a full musical events and perfomances line-up.

KARTELL – The art side of Kartell
Curated by Ferruccio Laviani e Rita Selvaggio, the exhibition for the 70th anniversary of the brand will take place in the suggestive Appartamento dei Principi in Palazzo Reale. It will consist of a trip through the Kartell‘s history that will be reinterpreted according not only to its industrial and technological aspects but also seeing the brand as the reflection of the nowadays’ society way of living.

MISSONI – Home Sweet Home
Also this year the brand will amaze the Fuorisalone’s visitors with an incredible exhibition curated by Angela Missoni in collaboration with artist Alessandra Roveda. In a boho and vintage mood will be presented “ Home Sweet Home” where an house will be entirely covered with multicolor crochet to carry the visitor in an enchanted rainbowy world.

FONDAZIONE PINI – L’ora Dannata di Carlos Amorales
L’ora Dannata is a can’t-miss exhibition that takes back the setting’s dimensions of Black Cloud filling the spaces of Fondazione Pini with a black butterfly swarn.

UNIVERSITÁ DEGLI STUDI DI MILANO – Urban Island
The Università Statale di Milano hosts some of the most loved Design Week’s exhibitions. Urban Island is the protagonist of this year’s one carrying the visitiors in another reality with a strong emotional impact.

COS X MAMOU-MANI – CONIFERA
With a look to the future, Cos inaugurate its first 3D printed exhibition, made of renewable materials and curated by the french architect Arthur Mamou-Mani. What is its goal? Showing that is possible to create by combinating renewable materials and modern technological processes.

HIGHSNOBIETY – SNDSYSTEM PARTY
