Bridgerton In 2021: What The Looks Of The Protagonists Would Be Like

Bridgerton, the revelation series of this 2021 produced by Shonda Rhimes, was not only loved by millions of viewers (more than 80!) for its plot (Hey Duke can you hear me?) But appreciated by all for scenography, photography and, above all, costumes. The attention to detail for the latter has catapulted everyone into a fairy, luxurious, pastel-colored world as perhaps only Marie Antoinette by Sofia Coppola had managed to do. The attitudes of the characters, very different from each other, have found the perfect translation into ad hoc looks, which reflect the nineteenth-century costumes of royal families and English bourgeoisie, offering a perfect portrait of the fashion of the time. Tulle, lace and ruffles in the feminine looks intertwine with moleskin, leather and velvet in the masculine ones, winking at a style, the one halfway between dandy and Rococò that, after all, has never stopped setting trends.

Daphne, the beautiful protagonist played by Phoebe Dynevor, has a romantic and fresh style, suitable for her age and her nature of girl next door, with more daring hints given by the accessories. Marina, considered in the series the black sheep of the group, has a modern and contemporary style that she is not afraid to dare in the shapes and colors. Penelope, on the other hand, reflects the Rococo style that we mentioned before: the voluminous dresses that play with layering and pastel shades make her look like a perfect doll with an incredibly rebellious soul. Eloise is the unconventional protagonist par excellence: her out-of-the-box style respects her revolutionary and absolutely contemporary character, she is the one who carries the flag of feminism high in an era when people had not yet heard of it.

We had fun imagining how our favorite protagonists would dress if Bridgerton were set in 2021, what is your favorite look?
