The story

As many of you already know, high heels have a very ancient history dating back to at least the 17th century. They were originally worn by women of high social status to show off their status, then helped to lift the dress and show off the feet, which were considered a very erotic part of the female body. During the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, heels were often very high and curvilinear, sometimes reaching 8 inches in height. Later, in the 19th century, heels began to lower, becoming more practical, ideal for everyday wear.

These shoes came back into fashion during the 1920s and 1930s, with the advent of the flapper style and the jazz years. Then, in the 1950s and 1960s, high heels became symbols of femininity and power and were often used by the great icons of the time including the diva with eternal appeal Marilyn Monroe. During the 1970s and 1980s, heels became even more extravagant and eye-catching with the introduction of materials such as metal and plastic.
