Many people think of Ready-to-Wear collections as easily wearable and usable day by day, historically this is perhaps not the case for the Schiaparelli maison. This time, however, for Spring Summer 2023, Daniel Roseberry is aiming for a collection of everyday yet extraordinary pieces.
This tale of trompe l’oeil hair, rustproof gold details, hooded dresses and total denim looks almost seems to be a distant relative of the Couture collection. But then again, you know, prêt-à-porter and Schiaparelli can only have so much in common, so perhaps it’s only right that it continues to be so.
Among the fabrics used are satin and silk to embellish each look, but so do cotton and wool for the pencil skirts. With this collection, the American designer draws inspiration from his stay at the Italian resort of Porto Ercole Il Pellicano. In observing the daring allure of women’s dressing, Roseberry creates an entire imagery of colours, voluminous jewellery and timeless style.
Schiaparelli’s Spring Summer 2023 collection draws inspiration from many different worlds, but in the end it will be all those who wear it who will ultimately value it. What are you waiting for to savour the Extra Ordinary universe of Daniel Roseberry?
