London has been the global fashion capital for one night. We’re still recovering from the hangover of shining evening dresses we saw a few days ago at the latest edition of the Fashion Awards, the star-studded event that gathered the fashion crowd in London on December 11th.
The event awarded the key players of the fashion industry, like international designers, top models, and influencers. Above all, three Italian names: Miuccia Prada and Pier Paolo Piccioli, Valentino creative director, winner of Outstanding Achievement and Designer of the Year award, while Gucci won the Brand of the Year award.
Kim Jones, Dior Homme creative director, was named the winner of the Trailblazer of the year award, while Virgil Abloh won the Urban Luxe award for his brand Off-White. All the spotlights were on a very special presenter for the night: Meghan Markle, who gave the British Designer of the Year Womenswear award to Clare Waight-Keller, Givenchy creative director who designed the bridal gown for the Royal Wedding. Model of the year? Kaia Gerber, of course.
Fashion stars make the London night so bright. We saw on the red carpet the amazing looks of celebrities Winnie Harlow, Kendall Jenner, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Kate Moss, Penelope Cruz, and Lana Del Rey, and super influencers as well such as Caroline Daur, Xenia Adonts and Danielle Bernstein.
