Fendi Kicks Off Summer With FF Vertigo

Fendi welcomes the summer season with FF Vertigo, the capsule that celebrates the happiest time of the year in an ode to a joyful, colorful and, of course, irresistible attitude. Dominated by shades of yellow and blue, the Summer 2021 capsule brings to order the stylistic codes of the seventies and nineties of the Maison, to reinterpret them in a line of sophisticated and captivating accessories and bags. The exceptional craftsmanship and innovative approach of the Rome brand are the key elements of a proposal that embraces the world of women, men and children, reiterating the collaboration already started in Miami with the New York visual artist Sarah Coleman.

Silvia Venturini Fendi and Coleman have, in fact, worked together to create a new reinterpretation of the iconic FF logo, now displayed through a psychedelic filter, FF Vertigo, which offers a twisted and turned version of the classic motif. The yellow FF Vertigo logo, in the accessories range, is printed using inkjet technology on the mineral tanned leather used both for the legendary Peekaboo bag and printed on jacquard canvas. Also reinterpreted are the iconic Baguette 1997, redesigned with thin sides and an adjustable and foldable handle to be worn under the arm, and the new mini Fendi Bauletto characterized by ultra-light fabrics perfect for the summer season. The capsule also includes the Fendi Mini Sunshine shopper, in straw and with contrasting profiles or in a more sophisticated version in leather.

As part of the collaboration with Sarah Coleman, Fendi also introduces the FF Fisheye logo on the Peekaboo X-Tote and Baguette 1997 in this capsule, in which the FF logo becomes more wavy and fluid, as it would be seen through a fish-eye lens.

Ready-to-wear also embraces the new energetic mood of this lively summer at Fendi. In the women’s line, multi-pocket skirts, convertible jackets and cargo pants with a utility touch are worn with hyper feminine bodysuits and draped tops that show the FF Vertigo motif, now also the protagonist of sporty windbreakers worn with coordinated gym sets, on one-piece swimsuits bikinis, but also on lace dresses, trench coats and flowing pants.

FF Fisheye and FF Vertigo also become protagonists of the Forever Fendi Timepieces collection, giving the maison’s most iconic watches bright and multicolored motifs that make them the must-have accessory for next season. But that is not all! They are joined by a series of limited edition items such as the Polaroid Vintage 636, a versatile Bento Box in collaboration with Alessi and many many other indispensable pieces for which to lose your head.

To celebrate FF Vertigo, the Fendi Cafè inaugurated yesterday on the terrace of the Rinascente in Milan, where you can literally enjoy the joyful and incredibly summery spirit of the new Fendi SS 2021 capsule.
