It is well known that in Italy, the Sanremo Festival is a much-awaited moment to talk about fashion and trends. On the stage of the Ariston Theatre – during the 73rd edition of the famous kermesse – we have seen many looks created by some of the most famous fashion houses around the world.
On the first evening, Elodie enchanted the audience wearing a haute couture creation by Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino, then Giorgia’s austere (perhaps too much so) gowns designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri for Dior. In the following evenings, the star brands included Moschino, worn by Italian actress Chiara Francini, then Schiaparelli, worn by Chiara Ferragni. On the other hand, among the singers in the competition, Coma_Cose literally amazed us, and we especially loved the white Vivienne Westwood dress – almost bridal – worn by California during the last evening of the Festival.

Many looks were obviously custom made, i.e. made ad personam, while others were taken from the latest Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer collections. Thus, between Couture and Ready-to-Wear, fashion played a more than relevant role during this highly anticipated annual event.
