Jewellery that passion: why are they so much loved? Not only diamonds, you know, in general, jewellery is often considered a woman’s best friend and more. A true fashion accessory to embellish and make an outfit shine even brighter, jewellery has always played a very important role, especially when it comes to meanings unrelated to its economic value. Considered an ornament, they have been used since ancient civilisations to enhance the beauty of the wearer even more. Each piece of jewellery had as its main task to symbolise different messages, an absolute emblem of security, elegance and prosperity.
With the passage of time, jewellery has increasingly come to be regarded as an essential accessory for special occasions, later assuming its own particular value in everyday life as well. However, their task is not only to decorate and embellish our person, jewellery is often also considered one of the most reliable investments ever.
Diamonds and gold seem to have maintained a relatively stable value over time, unlike cash which continues to fluctuate depending on the different economic factors we experience day by day. Jewellery is an extension of our personality, the search for it is certainly one of the most interesting and never easy moments. In fact, it is very important to be able to choose the right piece of jewellery, the one that makes us feel good about ourselves and secure, and it is especially important that the right person wears this accessory. The value of a piece of jewellery is not, as we have already mentioned, exclusively economic, we hear more and more about intrinsic value. We are talking about those pieces of jewellery that have been handed down through generations and that, speaking in emotional terms, take on a much more authentic meaning.
We have chosen to bring together in a photo gallery some celebrities and crowned heads and/or members of royal families, for whom jewellery has taken on or continues to take on significant value over time. Among them surely do not go unnoticed Elizabeth Taylor, who for decades mesmerised the world with her fascinating and intriguing allure, for her greatest passion and obsession with jewellery. Among the royal families, on the other hand, you will undoubtedly remember the jewellery associated with Queen Elizabeth II‘s 70 years of reign and that worn by her sister Margaret, the latter being her glitter-loving, glamorous version.
