Milan Fashion Week: 5 facts to remember

Milan Fashion Week spring-summer 2019 edition has just ended: what are we going to remember from the latest fashion shows? Besides all the beautiful collections we saw on the catwalk, we have to mention the facts and the news that made us chatting in the front row or backstage. Are you ready to discover with The Blonde Salad the 5 top facts we’re going to remember?

The Ferragnez meet Karl Lagerfeld

This is the meeting of a lifetime: a selfie with Karl Lagerfeld! Our beautiful Chiara Ferragni and her husband Fedez, aka The Ferragnez, had the honour to pose for with Fendi’s creative director, wearing some of the pieces from the upcoming capsule collection, on sale on October 16th.

Gigi Hadid walks as Moschino’s bride

Once upon a time, runway shows were closed by wedding gowns. Jeremy Scott brought back this tradition on Moschino‘s catwalk, choosing Gigi Hadid as his fairytale bride. That really was a memorable fashion moment, with the beautiful top model walking down the runway (or the aisle…) with a huge veil with dozens of butterflies flying on it! But we’re wondering: has Gigi asked to her good friend Jeremy to help her convince Zayn to finally tie the knot after all these on again/off again?

Nicki Minaj everywhere

After being on the radar for her fight with Cardi B at New York Fashion Week, Nicki Minaj was the real international star in Milan. We saw her at Diesel event, where she launched her Hate Couture capsule collection (with Fedez, by the way!), at Fendi and Versace’s fashion shows.

Emporio Armani fashion show in a Linate Airport’s hangar

Since 1996, whoever arrives at Milan Linate Airport sees Emporio Armani‘s logo as the very first thing. In the hangar where the brand’s icon is placed, the founder Giorgio Armani decided to stage his spring-summer 2019 fashion show. A memorable event, with more than 2,000 guests and a concert performed by Robbie Williams.

Kendall Jenner back on the runway

At New York Fashion Week, she decided to take some days off from the fashion shows’ schedule: that’s why we saw her only in the front row of Longchamp, the brand that sees her starring in the new advertising campaign. The top model unveiled that she’s suffering from anxiety and that she was more comfortable taking some relaxing time down the catwalk. It was certainly a brilliant idea because she stunned walking in Milan for her fave brands, like Alberta Ferretti, Moschino, Fendi, and Versace.
