Considered to date one of the Nike models made with greater attention to sustainability, the brand new Air VaporMax 2020 Flyknit are made up of 50% of the total weight of the shoe from recycled material. It seems that even at Nike, albeit in small steps, the time for a sustainable turning point has arrived and to make it an ambassador is precisely one of the must-have models of this Autumn/Winter.
But what makes the new Nike Air VaporMax 2020 sustainable? The composition of the new VaporMax, as stated by Jesi Small responsible for Nike product design, is obtained from the use not only of Nike waste materials, but also from those deriving from other productions, creating what is specifically called circular design. Circular design seems to be the basic philosophy of the new brand ethics renamed Nike Space Hippie and which will now distinguish Nike products. What will be Nike’s green news?
Innovation and a fixed gaze on the future have therefore constituted the vademecum of an iconic Nike model that today is the face of a perfect balance between sustainability and innovation. The silhouette is suitable to make the VaporMax 2020 Flyknit suitable for all everyday looks, ensuring ideal comfort and a smoother movement. Before moving on to the style specifications, another clarification must be made. The Nike FlyEase mechanism has also been integrated into this type of sneakers, guided by a design ethic aimed at the goal of making shoes easily fit for everyone. In short, the technical specifications seem to guarantee perfection, and what about style? Undoubtedly promoted, the Flyknit canvas seems to go hand in hand with the trend that wants knitwear to be the protagonist of every look and the color palette with the 90s pattern sole, make it an indispensable piece for next autumn. Our favorite is the beige version with multicolored weaves, to be paired with a nice pair of straight high-waisted denim and a nude-colored t-shirt or pullover.
