During the latest Fall/Winter 2023 fashion shows in Milan, Paris, London and New York, we saw how skirts will continue to be a much-loved and indispensable fashion trend. There are different types and models of skirts, available in many shades of colour and patterns. Apparently, the low waist seems to triumph next autumn, once again becoming a must-have. Speaking of style, many garments will take us away from the concept of everyday life, rediscovering a new glamour made of luxurious fabrics, bold prints and decidedly unseasonal colours.
As autumn approaches, women’s fashion focuses on a new trend: obv, skirts. This classic garment seems to renew itself from season to season thanks to new variations in fabrics, lengths, shapes and colours. Thus, next autumn our wardrobes will be enriched with skirts in leather – preferably imitation – and silk, with tailored structures and varying lengths, becoming a key element that, with style and originality, will be able to expand a real coolness.

One of the most popular trends for autumn 2023 will feature midi skirts, i.e. those that reach mid-calf length. This type of skirt is elegant and perfect for many occasions and can be worn with boots or flat shoes depending on one’s style. On the catwalk we saw many midi-length models, from Chloé to Acne Studios, passing by Maison Margiela. Then, there are the long, flowing skirts, proposed in different fabrics, for a look in perfect boho-chic style. Dior, the fashion house directed by the creative flair of Maria Grazia Chiuri, has instead proposed a series of skirts with a tartan print. Again, we are talking about another great classic of women’s fashion that has had renewed popularity in recent years. The tartan, the well-known checked fabric originating in Scotland, has been proposed in a completely revisited key in different combinations of colours and sizes of the checks.
In short, for next season, skirts represent a trend that we will not be able to resist, capable of giving originality and unprecedented style.
