Yesterday, the 74th Primetime Emmy’s Awards ceremony was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Many were the award-winning series, from Succession as best TV drama series, to Ted Lasso as best TV comedy series. Actors honored instead included Zendaya for Euphoria, Lee Jung-jae for Squid Game, Julia Garner for Ozark, Jean Smart for Hacks, Jason Sudeikis and Brett Goldstein for Ted Lasso, Michael Keaton for Dopesick, Amanda Seyfried for The Dropout, and Sheryl Lee Ralph for Abbott Elementary.
Zendaya literally made history with her second lead actress win in Euphoria, the 26-year-old actress became the youngest actress to win for the second time in Emmy’s history.
“My biggest wish with Euphoria was to be able to help heal people, and I just want to thank everyone who shared their story with me. To everyone who loved or feels Rue, I am so grateful, for your stories. I take them with me and with her.”
– Zendaya in her Emmy’s Awards speech
It is nice to emphasize how much receiving a coveted award like Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, is even more important just for playing a role as unique as Rue Bennett. A role that tells the story of a teenage girl suffering from addiction.
FOR THE AWARD CEREMONY FOR BEST ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES DURING THE 74TH EMMY’S AWARDS, ZENDAYA WEARS AN ARCHIVAL DRESS BY VALENTINO
At the event, Zendaya’s styling was, of course, done by Law Roach. The actress wore no less than two Valentino dresses with Bulgari jewelry. The first dress, worn during the awards ceremony, was a black satin gown inspired by her archival red version from the Fall/Winter 1987-1988 collection. At the Emmy Party, Zendaya instead wore a red dress designed for her by Pierpaolo Piccioli.
