Second boxer braids tutorial: we can’t live without them! For this hairstyle you’ll need: patience, elastic bands and a few styling products for the finishing touches. The alternative version, chosen by Chiara for Fashion Week, can be created by following the regular steps until you reach your neck. After that, it’s time for a fishtail braid. Shall we begin?
Step 1. Use a styling mousse to achieve a day-old hair effect. Part hair in the center from the front hairline down to the nape of the neck. Clip one section to the side. Take a small triangular section at the front of one side and begin a three-strand braid. Invert a french braid to create a dutch braid that sits on top of the hair by looping side strands under the center strand. Add a small piece of hair each time you loop the hair under as you continue the braid.
Step 2. Continue adding pieces of hair until you reach the nape of the neck. Secure with an elastic. Now divide the center strand into two and add two side strands now creating four strands. Continue with a fishtail braid all the way to the bottom and secure with an elastic band. Repeat on the other side.
TBS tips. Our secret to perfect braids is to have nicely nourished hair, that’s why you should never forget to condition. A lightweight shampoo and a super hydrating treatment are going to be perfect after you remove your braids: hair will be as good as new, ready for the next style!
