New home and renewed jury, buckle up because the third season of Drag Race Italia has arrived. Debuting today, 13 October in Italy on Paramount+ and globally – Italy excluded – on WOW Presents Plus the successful format with Priscilla at the helm. With her to elect the new “Italia’s Next Drag Superstar” on the jury will be Chiara Francini and two newcomers: Paola Iezzi and Paolo Camilli.
The country’s fiercest drag queens are ready to put their charisma, uniqueness, courage and talent to the test. There are 13 queens already announced for this new season: Adriana Picasso, Amy Krania, Leila Yarn, Lighting Aurora, Lina Galore, Melissa Bianchini, Morgana Cosmica, La Prada, La Sheeva Silvana della Magliana, Sissy Lea, Sypario, Vezirja. Who among them will make it through the first episode?
To get things off to a great start, the guest of the first episode is the ‘crazy’ M¥SS KETA, who will sit on the jury as guest-judge. “Being among all the queens of this new edition of DRAG RACE ITALIA in their debut episode was particularly powerful and energising – I felt completely at ease in the Drag Race universe and also inspired by the dedication and commitment of the girls: like taking an ice-cold glitter shower!” – commented the singer.
The third season of Drag Race Italia is the latest international version of the successful Drag Race franchise to premiere this year, following Drag Race Mexico, Germany and Brasil.
RuPaul’s Drag Race, the most popular reality show in history with 27 Emmy Awards, is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and Emmy Award-winning media company World of Wonder Production. The new season of the Italian version will be produced by Ballandi, with Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell and RuPaul Charles as Executive Producers for World of Wonder.
The first episode of Drag Race Italia will also be available later on MTV and VH1 on 15 October, and from 20 October it will be available on the official Paramount+ YouTube channel.
