Based on the Julia Quinn novel, Bridgerton captivated millions of viewers who devoured the first season in a couple of long nights of Netflix and Chill. (You are part of the club too, aren’t you?) In no time at all, here comes the confirmation of the second season and who could do it if not the enigmatic Lady Whistledown?

Do not despair therefore the fans of the Duke of Hastings, who, fearing never to see him again handling the dessert spoons as only he can, had already declared mourning. The stories of our favorite Bridgerton characters will continue but with something new! The protagonist of this second chapter of the series produced by Shonda Rhimes will in fact focus on Anthony Bridgerton, the older brother of Daphne who already in the first season had collected a good number of die-hard fans.

The production decision to focus on Anthony stems from the need to tell the stories and love affairs of all the Bridgerton brothers, just as Van Dusen, the showrunner of the series, explained in a recent interview. This second season will therefore see Anthony juggle in an attempt to find a wife, supported by all the protagonists of the first season anyway (sigh of relief). Together with Anthony we will in fact see what implications the life of the new widow Lady Portia Featherington has taken, how the relationship as new parents of Daphne and Simon goes on, but above all what are the new adventures that the mysterious Lady Whistledown will have to face, but above all it will be definitively Penelope? It was she who announced to the social media, through the iconic Whistledown sheet signed by her in person, the confirmation of this second season which, needless to say, we can’t wait to see!
