Which movie are you going to watch this month?
LITTLE WOMEN
The story of being a woman, yesterday and today, in a world made of men. This is the fil rouge of Little Women, the film based on the famous novel by Louisa May Alcott, which is making people talk about it all over the world. Directed by Greta Gerwig, who has given it a personal female reading key, the story of little women is inherent in the heart of all of us and seeing it again on the big screen, is definitely a joy not to be missed. For those who are not a fan of it, the plot of Little Women revolves around the events of the March sisters: Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. The three sisters live their adolescence, with its typical problems, alone with their mother, after their father’s departure for the war. The time span of Gerwig’s book and film coincide: it starts at Christmas and ends at Christmas the following year. In one year, the sisters grow up, fight their inner enemies and experience this unique period as an unforgettable romantic game. Those who have seen the film say that the director has given a precise cut to the history of these three sisters, a cut that highlights the obstacles that are covered on the winding road of female autonomy, the contractual nature of marriage and the social consequence of lack of female economic independence. The cast? Exceptional with Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, Timothèe Chalamet but also Laura Dern and Meryl Streep! In short, to run to the cinema!
JUMANJI – THE NEXT LEVEL
Directed by Jake Kasdan, Jumanji is the sequel of the homonymous adventure movie which in 2006 kept us all glued to the screen. The protagonists Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan will return to the unpredictable world of Jumanji to bring Specer to safety. The boy, in fact, determined to get the game back on track, kept some pieces of Jumanji with him and, in an attempt to repair it, he is sucked again … now the game has started again and friends can not back down! Between breathtaking adventures, which this time go beyond the jungle and reach the city, and sketches to laugh out loud, those who have seen Jumanji say they are the exception that confirms the rule on the sequels! Who even beats the first? We will go to see!
DOLITTLE
Based on the character made famous by the Hugh Lofting book series, Dolittle is a film far from being just for kids! In fact, Dr Dolittle is a character that we all care a little and after Rex Harrison and Eddie Murphy, Robert Downey Jr. will exceptionally take on his role, in a fresh, new and perhaps unexplored role for the actor of Iron. Man. The cast, incredibly rich in stars, is what makes this film truly exceptional, made up of celebrities who not only lend their voices to the animals’ protagonists of the film but also participate in “corporae praesenti”. In addition to Robert Downey Jr, there will, in fact, be Antonio Banderas, Micheal Sheen, Rami Malek, John Cena, Selena Gomez and many others. What will the story be? Dolittle will see the homonymous veterinarian called back into service by his voluntary exile. The famous doctor, after the loss of his wife led his life together only with his faithful animal friends, will return to save the queen from a bad illness, facing with his companions a very dangerous journey that, after all, will give life back to him. We are already excited!
